Brief catch up of life

Hello to all my wonderful fellow blogers and my awesome blog followers!

Oh how I have missed you all. Sorry that it has been so long since my last post. Life has certainly been going full speed for the last month or so and its hard to think that I have now been engaged for over 2 months!!!!!! Yikes, I feel like im getting older by the second - well, literally I am but you know what I mean.

So what has been happening in the wonderful life of Kathryn Allison Stewart? Hehe, that is only my name for a few more months so I guess I better use it as much as I can without wearing it out :)

So, as you all know... it was a very busy Christmas time and I was working at Totara Springs all summer long.
I got engaged on New Years Day 2011 up in Auckland and was expecting it but at the same time, not expecting it. Read the blogs about the proposal for more info :)
I also went to Parachute Christian Music Festival (with my fiancé and stayed with his family due to my tent being a failure).

I stayed at Totara Springs till Wednesday 3rd Feb and then it was time for Nathaniel and I to road trip it down to Palmerston North to prepare for our parents meeting each other for the first time, the next day. This was the first time that we had seen either of our parents since we got engaged so it was really a chance to catch up with everyone in person and had a few big discussions. To tell the truth and be completely honest, I was totally freaking out about this after a few conversations that had been had between family members over the past month or so. The meeting of both sets of parents seemed to go much better the I expected and once again I had totally over exaggerated how bad it would be - it was great actually and now I am fully looking forward to being a member of the Feldon Family (despite how scared I may be at times).

We had a fantastic time down in Palmerston North (and the short time we spent in Levin) and enjoyed having time off work/not having any responsibility for a few days (apart from each other) and just relaxing. Spending time with Nathaniel's brother (Philip) his girlfriend as well as flatmate (Donna) is always a highlight of these trips and as usual, we had a fantastic time with these two. What an awesome couple they are - hope that they too will get married some day :)

From here we then travelled up to Hastings on the Saturday morning and caught up with more people, went out to look at things for our wedding and also booked the church for a couple of dates as we were not sure when our wedding would be at that stage.

Saturday night involved going over to Taradale for Troy Henderson and David Stewart's engagement party which was very cool - it was a great chance to catch up with people I had literally not seen in months and also got to ask Troy at the same time if she would like to be one of my bridesmaids. Their engagement party was awesome and it was quite neat that it was all held in a backyard with just a couple of marquees/gazebos up and it worked well. Got a couple of ideas for our engagement party later in the year too.

Sunday was going to be a big day as it was the day that I had to move into Taurima Hostel so that I could start my wonderful RA training. Because of this, we decided that we would drive up to Matamata from Taradale that night so we left at about 9:30pm and arrived in Matamata at about 1:15am. Got a good sleep, packed up the car and then it was time to drive over to Hamilton for church at ARISE and then enjoy moving day.

So that was the last week of Jan and the first week of Feb. More blogs to come with more excitement later.
